Transcription dynamics and regulation

Transcription is a dynamic process dealing with RNA polymerase (RNAP), Promoters, and movement of RNAP interference along the DNA. Transcription initiation can be regulated by a number of proteins, including transcription factors and RNAP from convergent promoters. We build physical/mathematical models of this regulation in order to understand limits and possibilities af this essential nano-mechanical part of life.by RNA polymerase traffic in Escherichia coli.
